I submitted an essay some time ago concerning abolitionist Congressman Thaddeus Stevens and his mixed-race companion, Lydia Hamilton Smith and VP Richard M. Johnson. Dr. Bland had been reviewing it for possible posting on Muster, but I have had no communication of late. Did my piece fail the acid test and fall by the wayside? If so, I’d appreciate notification of that. If it’s still alive with possibility, I’d appreciate knowing that, too. Thanks for any word you can provide on this. Best, Mark Kelley, PHD
